Tomorrow (Saturday 19th) is the annual Addington Fair, held in the heart of Addington—St. Mary’s Square. Katipo Books has a table and will be selling zines, books and more, so if you missed us at the Vege Expo make sure to come and say hello!

Featuring live music, roaming performers, a bouncy castle, pony rides, home-made carnival games, races and stalls—the Addington Fair is going to be great.

The 35 stalls will be selling locally-made art and crafts, baking and sweets, books, plants, bric-a-brac, handmade and second-hand clothing and other treats. Races include egg and spoon, sack and pancake. Coffee will be available from locals the Addington Coffee Co-Op. There will also be a BBQ and Devonshire Teas that will be served inside the beautiful, wooden church.

Money raised on the day is going to support the house repairs being carried out by Addington Action in the local community for elderly people whose homes were uninsured in the earthquakes.

The Fun Fair will run from 11am til 4pm on Saturday November 19. In the event of rain, it will be held on Sunday 20 November but one hour later to accommodate Church services (i.e. 12 – 5pm).

Hope to see you there
